Jim HillJim Hill, Chairman

Operating a utility district isn't just about pipes and meters, HPUD Commissioner Jim Hill has learned, it's about promising quality service and a better community for customers to live in. Hill is excited to be a part of the positive changes happening within HPUD's corporate culture, repositioning the company as a modern-progressive utility district and a good corporate citizen.

Kevin Julian is the District’s newest Commissioner appointed in the Fall of 2007.  The new and different perspective that Julian brings to the board will prove to both helpful and very healthy for the future.

Julian was quoted shortly after his appointment as stating, “I was honored to be asked and I thought I could help our community.”  Having lived here since childhood, Julian has an understanding of the customer base that can offer a unique advantage.  His exposure to the community becomes increasingly more involved while balancing his position as Halls High School Football Coach.  Julian is committed to being the best not only for his team but also Hallsdale Powell.

Paul CorumPaul Corum, Treasurer

When Murphy Hills resident Paul Corum retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, he was planning to spend his time golfing and fishing. Little did he know the challenging and exciting task that lay ahead of him serving as commissioner for Hallsdale-Powell Utility District was in his future.

Corum was appointed to the HPUD board by County Executive Tommy Shumpert after the death of longtime HPUD commissioner Joe Smelser. He's jumped right into the board activities and is helping to make decisions that are shaping the future growth of the utility district. Corum is hoping to bring about many positive changes for HPUD customers. In addition to continued improvement of water quality and wastewater services, Corum along with the other HPUD commissioners is helping to bring enhanced billing services to our customers, including automated bank drafts and the acceptance of debit and credit cards. He also believes that customer service is a very important part of HPUD's mission.

All three HPUD Commissioners are recognized as Certified Utility District Commissioners by the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts.
