Medication Collection: August 21st from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. bring your unused and expired medications along with used mercury thermometers to Mercy Medical Center North outside of the Cancer Center building. A free digital thermometer will be given in exchange for every mercury thermometer turned in.  Mercy Medical Center North is located at 7565 Dannaher Way in Powell just off I-75 at Emory Rd. Proper medication disposal keeps medications out of the water and away from children! Partners in the event include City of Knoxville, Knox County Health Dept., Knox County Solid Waste, Knoxville Police Dept., KUB, TDEC, University of Tennessee-Policy Center for Clean Products, University of Tennessee-College of Pharmacy, Mercy Health Partners, AmeriCorps Volunteers and Hallsdale-Powell Utility District.
