Buying or Selling? HPUD makes it easy!
Whether you are new to HPUD service or moving from one HPUD-served address to another, HPUD makes it easy to start or stop service.
For Homeowners, please provide:
- New Address
- Proof of purchase (such as a warranty deed or sales contract)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Email Address
- Start Date (please allow one business day notice)
* A service connection fee of $25 is required.
* If you want service connected the same day that you sign up, then a $40 fee is required.
Note: You can download the form and fill it out and return it to our office in person, via mail or call a customer service representative at (865) 922-7547 to email it.
An HPUD representative may contact you for setup fees and/or deposits.
Need to Stop Service?
To schedule a stop service, customers can either call us at (865) 922-7547 or email us at [email protected] (allow 2-3 business days for a reply).
Renting or Leasing? No Problem!
For renting customers, please provide:
- New Address
- Proof of a lease agreement
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Email Address
- Start Date (please allow one business day notice)
* A service connection fee of $25 is required.
* If you want service connected the same day that you sign up, then a $40 fee is required.

You may also signup for service at the main office at 3745 Cunningham Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37918 during business hours.
Allow 2-3 business days for online signup.
